Moru Clinic, Isingiro, Uganda

Wasser für Menschen e.V.

If you drive a few kilometers past the small town of Isingiro you will note an orange house standing by itself. This is the Moru Clinic. Its founder is Caroline Nabaasa, a trained nurse whose mission in life is to help as many people as possible in her region.

Moru Clinic is the only clinic in this rural region, and many people in the region walk for long periods of time to get help from the clinic. There are many illnesses: stomach, bladder, and back pain are common due to the lack of clean water and the hard labor of working the fields. Most people in Uganda cannot afford medicine and education about health care continues to be lacking.

WfM helps Moru Clinic to provide better medical services in an area where help from a doctor is almost impossible to get.
